GroupsWhat is a Group?
A group is used to update a collection of domains that map to the same IP. Instead of using the domain name in the IP update URL, the group name is used instead. The update URL looks like
https://api.dynu.com/nic/update?username=USERNAME&group=GROUPNAME&password=PASSWORD.
All domains and subdomains assigned to this group will be updated. Group and Location are the same
and you can use them interchangeably.
You may follow the below steps to set up a group update.
Step 2
Go to
Groups
and create a group and set up a group password.
Group The group name can contain only alphanumeric values (a-z, A-Z, 0-9) without any spaces.
Group Password Group password allows you to set up a unique password for each group to update the IP address of the domains and aliases assigned to that group. This is a member-only ($9.99/year) feature.
Step 3
This will move all the domains to the current group.
This will move the chosen domains to the current group. Use SHIFT or CTRL to select multiple domains.

NOTE: This list does not contain subdomains created in the
Aliases
section. To assign a subdomain to a group, you can first create the group and go to the
Aliases
section to add/edit the alias.
