I just moved my domain name over to Dynu and I'd like to share my experience.I first set up the DNS records for the domain name on Dynu end. I host a website and mail on the domain name, so I have A, MX and TXT records on the domain name. After I add my domain name to Dynu and set up all DNS records in the control panel, I queried Dynu name servers to make sure that all records are properly configured:nslookup -type=A mydomain.com ns1.dynu.comnslookup -type=MX mydomain.com ns1.dynu.comnslookup -type=TXT mydomain.com ns1.dynu.comYou can query all ns1-ns6.dynu.com to be sure. Then I went to my current domain registrar and changed the name servers for my domain name to the below Dynu name servers:NS1.DYNU.COMNS2.DYNU.COMNS3.DYNU.COMNS4.DYNU.COMNS5.DYNU.COMNS6.DYNU.COMThen I placed a domain transfer order and transferred in the domain name.I choose to configure the DNS records and change the name servers before transferring the domain name to minimize possible downtime caused by name server propagation and domain transfer. Even if DNS propagation takes time, it would not matter because my DNS records are set up on name servers of both providers.I was able to transfer the domain name smoothly though my process took a bit more time and effort. I'd like to hear about it if anyone has a more efficient way. Cheers!P.S.: If you do not have anything hosted on your domain name, you can skip the DNS setup and name server change and transfer the domain name directly.
