Topic: problem with remote access of router
I created a domain for a router's dynamic ip and I can access it through the network. However when I try to access it remotely it doesn't work. I have an Alpha ASL 26555 router.

1. Make sure that the router allows remote access. Routers usually have a settings for you to enable/disable remote access. In my router it is called 'Remote GUI'. Only when remote GUI is enabled can the router be accessed from the internet.
2. Make sure that you are outside of the router's network if your hostname is mapped to the router's external IP address. If you are accessing the router inside the same netork, use the default gateway 192.168.0.1 or whatever is the default gateway.
