Topic: URL forwarding without giving up an IP address?
Hello,I'm a formal FreeDNS(.afraid.org) user and when looking at your URL forwarding service's options i notice that i am required to give an IP address.I simply want to link a free DynU domain to an URL, so i'm wondering why it is needed to enter an IP address in the first place. The URL forwarding service from FreeDNS don't ask for an IP (see attached image for an example).Best regards,Chris(tiaan)

Also can't edit/update my post.I can enter an URL in the Web Redirect without entering an IP, but one screen back there's always an IP address (the detected address of the logged in user). The thing is, my IP often changes and the sole reason why i want to Web Redirect is to prevent users from typing a long url.Since the forwarded URL is on a remote host/server, my IP address doesn't have anything to do with it. But still the DynU configuration screen tells me that its required to enter an IP address.

And (if everything goes as planned), an attached image of the Web Redirect screen of the formal DDNS service i used (FreeDNS):

You can enter a random IP as it will get overwritten by the web redirect entry.

Ahh, i didn't know. Perhaps it would've been better if this was mentioned somewhere :)Thanks for the quick heads up, anthonywebuser!
(ps: do free DynU users also have a 5 hosts limit?)
