Topic: DDNS doesn't redirect VPN to Digital Ocean VMs
I'm hoping someone can help with some advice.I'm setting up some VMs on Digital Ocean to act as VPN jump boxes.I've configured my server to be accessible using VPN. I've tested this, and it works fine when I point my local VPN client at the ip address.I want to be able to switch servers without changing my VPN client, so I've created a dynamic DNS record on DYNU.com which is linked to the IP address of my server. I can ping the DNS address and it responds fine from the server. Here's the issue, When I change the config of my VPN client from the IP to DNS it failed to connect. This doesn't make any sense, as I'm able to ping the DNS and I get a response from the IP of the server. Is there some network / firewall config that I need to change to enable the DNS resolution from the VPN client ?This works fine on AWS. I don't understand why it doesn't work on Digital Ocean. Can someone help / advise please ?
